Meet Rose Nassanga a 55-year-old Ugandan single mother and farmer battling with breast Cancer, Rose is not only fighting for her life but also the wellbeing of her 4 jobless children and 5 grandchildren, one of whom has a disability. Losing her breadwinner daughter during childbirth was a devastating blow, and now Rose is struggling to provide for her children. Her condition started in 2004 had a surgery done and she felt better, in 2020, Rose visited the hospital for minor pain but since then her condition was never the same. She has been living with persistent pain for far too long, and it’s taking a toll in her life.
Jochebed Foundation is a Uganda-based non-profit dedicated to empowering single mothers and their children. Inspired by the founder’s journey of being raised by a single mother, we provide support through skills training, child sponsorship, health outreach, and community programs.
